In-store and online, you can pay for your purchases with Visa, MasterCard, Visa Electron, or American Express payment cards. Online payments use the secure payment authentication services Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. Verkkokauppa.com does not save or store payment card numbers.
Online payment requires bank authentication or a separate code from the bank. The payment is made on Verifone’s website through our partner, and Verkkokauppa.com does not process payment card information.
When paying by payment card, a pre-authorisation hold is placed on your card at the time of order. The pre-authorisation hold is a reservation on the payment account for a future charge. The actual charge to the payment card is made only when the order is shipped or collected from the store.
In-store you can also pay with contactless payment and most banks’ apps, such as Google Pay and Apple Pay, even though these are not available on our website.
How to pay with a payment card:
- Select payment card (e.g. Visa, Mastercard) as the payment method in the shopping cart.
- Enter the card details in the payment form:
- Card number
- Expiry date
- CVC security code (the three-digit code on the back of the card; for credit/debit combination cards there are separate card numbers and CVC codes for both "sides")
- Approve the payment with your bank’s verification method (e.g. mobile certificate, banking app, or code list).
- The payment is confirmed, and you will receive a confirmation of successful payment.

Can I save my payment card details for the next purchase?
Yes, you can save your payment card details for the next purchase. The details are saved in a secure payment system where Verkkokauppa.com can identify the card type and the first six and last four digits of the card number. This makes card selection easier when shopping. The full card number is not stored in Verkkokauppa.com’s own system.
Why did the card payment fail?
Card payments can fail for several reasons, but most often the problem is one of the following:
- Online payment functionality has not been enabled at all
- A usage limit for online payments has been set by yourself or the bank
- The card number, expiry date, or security code has been entered incorrectly. Please note that credit/debit combination cards have separate card numbers and CVC codes for both "sides"
- Insufficient funds in the credit limit or bank account
We do not see detailed information about why or how the payment has failed. In case of problems, we recommend contacting the card issuer directly.
Card or payment details are not disclosed or stored in Verkkokauppa.com’s system.

Why does the order show as unpaid even though I believe I have paid?

We confirm orders even when the selected payment has not gone through. Unpaid orders are automatically cancelled if the payment method is not changed.-
Card payment has not succeeded
If no pre-authorisation hold has been placed on the payment card, the payment has not gone through. -
Credit application has not been approved
If there is no valid credit decision for the order, it will show as unpaid. -
Online bank payment was interrupted prematurely
If the online bank payment is interrupted and no amount has been charged from the account, the order will be cancelled as unpaid. If the amount has been charged but the order still shows as unpaid, it will be transferred to us as a bank transfer within a few days.

Even if the payment does not succeed, the order is saved in your customer account and you will receive an order confirmation. However, the order is not valid and will not be delivered until the payment is successful. -
Multiple orders accidentally
It is possible that you have made multiple orders for the same products but only paid for one. You will receive order confirmations and payment reminders for all orders placed, even if you have paid for one order. Unpaid orders are automatically cancelled. -
