Can a refrigerator or freezer be installed without a leak tray?

No, they cannot. The installation will not be carried out without a leak tray.

A leak tray must be installed underneath both refrigerators and freezers to detect leaks and help prevent water damage. You can order a suitably sized leak tray at the same time as you order the appliance. 

Can the appliance be installed on top of an old leak tray? 

The appliance can be installed on top of an old leak tray if it is in pristine condition and suitable for the new appliance. 

Does the installation include reversing the door swing of the refrigerator/freezer? 

No, it does not. Reversing the door swing of a refrigerator or a freezer cannot be ordered directly from us. However, you can purchase the service separately from the transport company when booking the installation.

The price of the service depends on the transport company:

• Posti: the service is free of charge
• Hakonen: the service costs €62.60

Please note that reversing the door swing requires ordering the installation service. Also check the technical specifications of the appliance you have purchased to make sure that reversing the door swing is possible for that appliance. The door hinge side of a side-by-side refrigerator cannot be changed.

Does the installation include installing the cabinet door panel? 

No, it does not. The installation service does not include the installation of the cabinet door panel for an integrated appliance. This means that the installer will not remove or reinstall cabinet door panels. However, you can purchase this service separately from Hakonen when booking the installation. Posti’s installers do not install cabinet door panels. 

• Hakonen: the service costs €130

Please make sure that the cabinet door panel and the appliance you have purchased are compatible in terms of size and compatible for joint installation. There are two different ways to attach a cabinet door panel: door-on-door mounting or sliding rail mounting.

Is an installation service available for side-by-side refrigerators?

The side-by-side refrigerator installation service is available in the Helsinki metropolitan area and is carried out by Hakonen. Posti does not install side-by-side refrigerators.

Does the installation include removal and recycling of the old appliance?

No, it does not. The installation service does not include recycling the old appliance, but you can order it as an additional service together with home delivery and installation of the new appliance. Please note that the appliance being recycled must be the same appliance type as the new appliance being delivered (for example, a refrigerator for a refrigerator, a TV for a TV).

Does the installation include floor protection?

No, it does not. The installation service does not include floor protection. You must protect the floor yourself before the appliance is installed. 

How much does the installation cost?

You can see the installation price on the product page when adding the service to your order. Please note that in addition to the installation fee, a home delivery fee will be charged according to the price list.

Can I buy installation without home delivery?

The installation service is only available with home delivery. You cannot purchase the installation service if you do not also choose home delivery.
