Through Vaihtokauppa, we purchase working smartphones, computers, smartwatches, and tablets. The device does not need to have been purchased from Verkkokauppa.com for you to sell it to us. Make a trade-in estimate – the trade-in calculator will show whether your device can be sold to us.
Not all product models are eligible for Vaihtokauppa, even if the device is fully functional. If the product cannot be found in the device search, it cannot be sold through Vaihtokauppa. However, it’s worth checking that there are no typos in the model name or IMEI code – especially for newer models.

How do I sell my device?
Selling your device is easy: make a trade-in estimate, accept the offer, and send the device to us free of charge.
If the device cannot be found in the search, it is not eligible for Vaihtokauppa.
Can I sell a device purchased abroad?
Yes, as long as the device is not carrier-locked.
Can I sell multiple devices at the same time?
Yes, you can.
Do I need to buy a similar device to the one I sell?
No, you don’t. The trade-in value is added to your Tili balance and can be used for any future purchase.
How is the trade-in estimate calculated?
The estimate is based on the device’s current market value and condition. The final value is confirmed after our partner has inspected the device.
Can the trade-in estimate change?
If the device matches the information you provided, the value will not change.
If the condition differs from what was stated, you will receive a new estimate that you can accept or reject. If you reject the offer, we will return the device to you free of charge.
What should I do if the trade-in calculator cannot find my product?
The device search does not always recognize all products with all search terms.
Try searching by manufacturer and model if the search does not work with, for example, the IMEI code.
If the product cannot be found at all, it is currently not included in the Vaihtokauppa selection. The selection will be expanded in the future, so it’s worth checking again later.
How quickly will I receive the trade-in value?
Once you accept the estimate, the value is available to you immediately.
You can order a new device, transfer your data at your own pace from the old device to the new one, and send the old device to us within 14 days.
Can I use the trade-in value to pay for existing Tili purchases?
No, you cannot. The value is added to your Tili balance and must be used for a new purchase of your choice.
How is misuse of Vaihtokauppa prevented?
Vaihtokauppa operates with Verkkokauppa.com’s Tili payment method. Activating Tili requires strong identification and a credit check.
This allows us to offer you the trade-in value even before we have received the device. Activating and using Tili is free of charge.
How do I wipe my device?
Save your personal data and transfer it to a new device if needed before wiping.
Also remember to:
- remove the device from any location tracking and lock services
- remove SIM and memory cards
- reset the device to factory settings

How do I send the device?
You will receive a prepaid address label and packaging from us.
You can:
- send the device via a DHL service point
- or bring it to your nearest store
Remember to send the device within 14 days after completing the trade-in estimate.
What happens to the old device?
The device is sent to our partner in France, where it is inspected and resold to a new user.
